a study in saturated emotion.

Art that pulses with memory, mood, and movement.

about me

Hi there, I’m Gabrielle (aka Gabbie) Besante—a lifelong artist, a mom, a wife, and a lover of color, chaos, and beauty in all its forms. I hold a B.A. in Art & Art History from Dickinson College, but my journey started long before that. As soon as I could hold a pencil, I was sketching little stick figures in motion—capturing life in its simplest, rawest form.

Raised in a deeply creative family, art was never just a hobby—it was a language. Over time, I found my voice in abstract expressionism, drawn to its ability to stir emotion and invite interpretation. I’m fascinated by how the same piece can feel entirely different to each person, each day.

My work pulses with bold, saturated color, intentionally chosen strokes to evoke energy—a kind of heartbeat. Beneath the surface, I’m always exploring a tension between the organic and the structural, seeking harmony within disarray. I often begin with floral forms or soft landscape underpaintings before unraveling them into something freer and more chaotic—like memory, or emotion, or a dream you can almost remember.

This is my world, and I’m so glad you’re here to see it through your own eyes.

Best,

Gabbie
